Linda James grew up in Rome, Georgia as the oldest of 5 children. Linda loved to draw from a young age. Her parents always encouraged her artistic endeavors and framed much of her college work to hang in their home. She believes that people are created with the interest, and encouragement takes us onward, which is exactly what her parents did for her. Linda is most known for her ethereal award-winning Angels and has done a number of landscapes over the years - the greens and browns and blues are always layered and lovely. However, for this new body of work, she "wanted another dimension - a twist maybe, so is working in colors unusual for landscapes and lines instead of shapes - all of which is stimulating and thought provoking - and, with the soft pastels they take on an abstraction that feels exciting." Through her work, Linda aims to share God's word in a way that touches others and perhaps awakens a desire to know Him better.
