  • Linda Elksnin's studio is located in the top floor of her house. The walls are lined with her brightly colored paintings of geometric circles, various creatures, and colorful people. Her work is inspired by art from several different cultures, including those of the American South, Appalachia, and Haiti, as well as the aboriginal people of Panama and Australia.

Because her studio is in her home, she has the luxury of going upstairs whenever she has free time and is feeling inspired. Elksnin works in a variety of media (acrylic, watercolor, gouache, color pencil, pastel) and works on paper, canvas, and wood.

Luckily her studio is spacious enough to accommodate her large inventory of work. She has several other ventures in addition to being a part of Charleston Artist Collective.

Linda Elksnin is participating in ArtFields this year, which is April 24-May 2, 2015. Keep an eye out for her piece titled "Wave" if you plan to attend! http://www.artfieldssc.org

She is also part of a group show at the Hickory Museum of Art titled "Woven Together: From Lesotho to Carolina" that will be May 29- September 6, 2015. http://hickoryart.org/upcoming-exhibitions/ Her piece titled "Tree of Birds" will be part of the show!
